Get off your rear end and take pictures.

These appeared around the base of an old Santa Rosa Plum tree. I have no idea if they are edible or not. Every year a couple of people get sick from eating mushrooms, and I'm not about to join them although these ones do look interesting.

Great textures and colours and shapes. The decay is almost palpable.

Soon to be dirt in the ground. It's interesting how your background draws as much, maybe more, attention than your subject.

The texture and luminance of the shrooms really pops in this composition. Nicely done!

Something is odd about this image. Is it HDR? There is a sickening feel that makes it interesting

Here in France everybody knows everything about mushrooms, what is edible and what's not and what's edible only if cooked etc. unfortunately I'm not a native so I'm as ignorant as you on this, besides these look a bit passed their sell by date. Nice browns.

its funny .. but i thought .. this is the sort of photo i could quite possible take while sitting on my rear end .
i hope you didnt cheat Germaine .. lol .. !! .. ;)
its a wonderful photo of those mushies .. and i'd never eat a 'mushroom' that i found growing in the ground .. i'm not expert enough to know .. and i think i know the difference between a mushroom and a toadstool ... but i'd never want to risk it .
i think the results could be catastrophic ..
