Get off your rear end and take pictures.

Last night I made it as far as the backyard. I was aiming to take pictures of the Quadrantids Meteor Shower and set up my camera, aimed it at what I thought was the right direction at the right time, and set the timer to shoot continuously for about an hour after which I processed my 190 images in CC2019. (Thank heavens for batch processing.) After going through the images, I think I MAY have gotten ONE small meteor (just to the left of the Pole Star) and a TON of what I think are satellite trails with maybe an airplane or two thrown in. Well.... applying the lemonade philosophy, I stacked everything for star trails and then ruthlessly over-processed it in Aurora HDR. This isn't what I want to do every day, but I kind of like the straight lines with the circles.

In case anyone is curious, that web shaped thing in the lower right isn't a set-up for communicating with outer space, it's my clothes line. The shadows on the neighbor's house are from a yucca tree in the front yard.

well, that's astounding - really - I like this one better than a lot of "cleaner" astrophotographs I've seen - it demonstrates the true riot that is the night sky, everything flying around at sixes and sevens

I didn't know you had to take so many pictures to get a shot like this. It's pretty cool!

So much happening in this composition. Fifteen minutes really brought out all the action in that sky! It's mesmerizing!

Wow! This is awesome, Germaine. I love the combination of the urban domestic and the majestic infinite and the in-between diagonals. Love the colours and the shadows too.

The light on the house and shrubs is beautiful. I love the diagonal lights across the sky and especially like the clothes line communication center.

Oh this is beautiful. I wanted to get out for the meteor shower as well. I am a wimp as 19 degrees was just too cold for me.

The unseen around us. Modern communications and espionage.

I love that you described the process of taking this picture although I don't have a clue on how to do this or process or stack images or.... Or Aurora HDR. So I enjoy even more the image!

Makes me dizzy without making me feel sick (as I do on one of those playground merry-go-rounds). I like this.
