This looks like an English muffin . . . which I haven't had for a very long time. It also looks to be swimming in butter. Yum! Is that sugar on the surface? We used to get a wonderful bread in Belgium called craquelin. I wonder whether this is similar (though the craquelin was never filled).

Oil ball, eh? Looks yummy and a bit naughty. Does one bake them or deep fry them? Perhaps similar to zeppole (fried dough served at Italian festivals here)... or maybe beignets. Nice focus!

Love how you have shown a section with detail but filled the frame with an out of focus one. Perfect magazine shot. Well done! I may try some food photography this month too so this is inspirational
