I was shooting pics of the sunset at the famous Waikiki Wall and thought a subject in the foreground would make a great picture. I had a few shots of this woman and her husband as silhouettes and profiles but wanted something a bit more personal and interactive with the viewer. I framed her and waited till she turned around so I could get a shot of her face, not expecting anything more than a candid but she just so happened to look up at the camera. The look on her face was definitely a Kodak moment.. or should I say Canon.
Taken at 125mm with Canon EF 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 III USM.

This is a beautiful portrait. The connection to the challenge is a little weak, but the quality of the shot makes up for it. I love the way the background compliments her hair perfectly. My only picky point is the black cord around her neck. It would have been better if that were a necklace that didn't leave the frame. Lovely. Good luck. 9.
What a beautiful portriate to show passing of time. You can see the youthfulness in her face, the natural beauty, and the sophicated maturing of a lovely woman. bumping up.
lovely portrait, great use of muted tones (would like the bright area center right a bit darker as I feel my eye wonder off your models engaging expression) - one of my ribbon picks.
