A mini heat wave to start November. Sultry, overcast and a great day for the beach.
Not much 'quality' in this as it's a detail from a larger scene.

Wonderful beach scene. The muted colors give it a really tropical feel.

Exuberant is right, that's the word that came to my mind as well. I love the pastel tonalities here.

I like the fact this isn''t tack sharp and also the pastel colours. The timing is spot on :)

I don't care about "quality"! joie de vivre comes to my mind when I'm looking at this scene

Love the spontaneity captured, and the broad arrowhead created by the waves.

For some reason I'm feeling a slightly Norman Rockwell vibe. Perhaps it's something about the processing or the way the mother is holding the child's hand and the curve of each of their arms... Lots to enjoy here.

You've captured a special moment that fits perfectly into this square space.

Never mind the quality, feel the width! It's an unmistakably Aussie scene, Mom's hat is the clincher. I'm not used to seeing beach scenes as squares, but this shows how little I know. Thank you.

Charming pastel impressionistic image. The breaking wave forms a nice diagonal in the background. I guess Mom's pony tail is cinched with a white scrunchie, otherwise she's being assaulted by a cuttlefish.

a square can be quite static, so it benefits from a lot of energy, which you provide with the wedge of the incoming wave and the active figures. well done.

Delicate, very delicate. Would it be too much to ask for a B&W of this to add some mystery?

what a perfect treat in a square. I want to sing and dance. just look at the lines and shapes and everything flying out of them.

Such exuberance! Love the energy in this one.

ETA - wrote my comment before reading krnodil's - interesting that the same word occurred to both of us at first glance (at least it came to me immediately).
