 The C-47 Skytrain was the military transport counterpart to the Douglas DC-3, the plane that changed the world. This particular example is more than just a cargo plane however. In WWII It was armed with depth charges as a sub hunter and has at least one kill to it's name.
CAF C-47 Ready 4 Duty

The 150 mm reach of my "big" lens for my micro 4/3 is barely adequate for airshow use, even when the planes get close. (But's it's easy to carry around.) So I tried to make good use of the negative space and some clouds to add interest. The light at this angle seems to highlight the edges of the aircraft nicely.
