| beautiful shot - the little boy might be the harbinger of an imminent apocalypse. The people in the background are in big danger but they don't listen to the call. Old world charm |

Voted earlier coming back to comment.
Love the pillar of light that falls on the cobblestone street and the main subject caught within! Deep shadows frame the main subject on either side directing the viewer's attention to what happens within the path of light. The backlighting illuminates the people in the background just enough that we see there shapes but mostly details remain in the shadows. In the forefront a young child playfully runs. He/she is almost a reflection of the shadow on the ground for most details are hidden because of the strong light. The capture of the the arms outstretched combined with the title transforms a delightful imagery of a child at play into one that is eerie, interesting and strange. |

oh hahaha .. this is so funny and so excellent ..
as a thumb i was unprepared for the reality .. then i opened it and got a real good boost of that happy juice you get when you laugh ..
everything works about this image .. the black and white processing is wonderful .. loving the high contrast .. and that shadow .. MAGIC .!!.
the ppl in the background .. great you kept them in ... they create more of a story ..
what a great surprise this one was to open up ..!!..:)
oh .. and your title ... YES .. !!! ..:) |
