I think a lower point of view would emphasize the water more, and minimize the background where that pesky telephone pole lives.

Some images look better on color than black and white. I would guess this is an example of that. The lack of colors made the image a little dull.

If the photo is about the ducks, as the title suggests, then I think they should be in focus.

If you could have made more of the mist on the water and avoided the distracting background it would be even better. I'm sorry but I also actually feel the ducks are a distraction a Cartier Bresson moment would have been good. The sky is too washed out. Hope you take my criticism constructively. Good luck 4
