 This is my first challenge in a long long time.

I am my own model for this shot, as I often am in my dpc photos.

I desaturated the colors obviously. While doing so I lightened the yellows and slightly darkened the reds to give the tones that you now see. I also applied brghtness/contrast as well as a slight curve.

I tried NI on this image but I decided to go without. I think the rawness is ebtter for the emotion of it.

If you notice that my eyes are blurry, its actually tears.

I know people will hate the title. I am kind of tossing up a few different ideas, but I can't find teh exact right words for what I want the photo to say.

I wanted to do a portrait for this challenge, because I think b&w is a very emotional technique and I think the human face is one of the best ways to display it.

I really wish I could spot edit this photo, but I am still happy with how its come out.

Who knows how it will do. My lowest ever score was a self portrait and my second highest was also a photo of me (although not a portrait) so it could go anywhere lol

I understand the title, but I'm still not crazy about the expression in this photo. I think a smile would have gotten a higher score from me. 5

Very touching image almost from the silent fimls. Amost makes me wanna cry.lol I gave this image 6 but may return for more consideration. The expression is haunting. Good work.
