That was a bit of an oops with the title. I put this in as a place holder and forgot all about it, ran off on holiday and only when it was in voting did I notice.

Really surprised to get a ribbon, but thanks to all of you who voted.

To answer Neil's question.

This is an actual fisherman, one of the last remaining real fishermen in this area of China. However, to supplement his meagre income he does do early morning shoots (on his way back from fishing) for the photo hungry tourists.

Quite a lot of the photos you see of these fishermen are only for the tourists. It's a real pity but they can earn far more with a few photoshoots than they every could as fishermen.

Fabulous. Reminds me of a much loved children's book, The Story About Ping, by Marjorie Flack.

Congrats Sarah... this was far and away the best image in the challenge. LOVE the blue and gold and the composition. Such a wonderfully interesting subject. Thank you.

I knew this would ribbon! Great job. I'm curious too how common these fishing boats are with the birds in vietnam. Sometimes I wonder if they're out there to fish or to pose since this seems to be one of the iconic scenes, though yours has a nicely different twist since it's dark out. But it's on my bucket list! Again, great job, congratulations.

Shame about the title but I have been there and got the t-shirt and this is about photos not titles. Great composition and mesmerising photo

Nice color contrast. I'd prefer "untitled" instead of your title.

This is a wonderful image. Just enough light for the boatman and the rest of the scene in faded light. Makes me wonder ... well, lots of things. So literally wonder-ful to me.

Am always amazed when I see these cormorant fishermen - I learned from Sarah salmiaki that it's mostly for tourists nowadays but still, an incredible thing
