i like how both the clear and blurry elements complement each other, both placed nicely on their 3rds.

A reverse "third"; a different continent. They do things differently there.
It captivates me

The only stuff that's in focus... is not on a line of thirds.

So, although I like the photo... I don't like it for this challenge.

Colorful and exciting. The excitement seems to arise from the shallow depth of field. The focused post on the left sets up a desire to see what's going on with the figure at the end of the walkway, but she's almost swallowed in blur. Maybe I could just as easily have said frustrating as exciting, but the latter response is what I felt. This is a very well conceived and accomplished image, which becomes more appealing as I revisit it.

I'm really liking this, but the oversaturation is painful on the right. Especially how it gets the really bright orange outline. It actually works on the left, but not on the right. I wonder if it would have worked much better bringing down the saturation by using a gradient mask, so that not only does the figure and focus fade, but the colors soften as well.

the Idea ois great but I feel the eye is taken to the out of fous area rather than lingering on the left ..6
