Nice shot, only thing I would be careful with is the shadows. In this shot the one on the forhead, without that distractions you would have a much stronger shot. Good work.

Hair is very sharp, but skin seems blurred. Both have nice tones. Name doesn't match the image as it is.

My this young one has intense eyes. I knew the spitting image of this boy as a child in New Jersey. His name was Andrew Rider, and he loved to bring stray animals into class. Not to draw any parallels between them, but the resemblance is striking. This isn't candid, as I would prefer, but it's not a bad shot. (5)

The picture doesn't say "deep in thought" to me. Otherwise, nice compostion. The light on the cheeks is a little blown out though.

The image looks a little soft and it looks like the focus was mostly on the hair. The lighting looks a little harsh and the shadow across the forehead looks a little odd. I can see what you were trying for but the lighting is just a little bit off. The background is a little distracting also as they seem to be coming from or attached to his head.

doesn't look like he's in deep thought

Nice framing, focus is set on hair insted of the face. I don't like the shadow on the forehead. I do like the fade to black on the right side of the picture. I think it still deseverves a high note. Many good elements.
