The thing that amazes me is that this is a river. It's a small cypress tree on the James River.

Cyprus trees are amazing. I went out that morning hoping that it was low tide. (That's the other amazing thing. I'm from Minnesota. A river with tides?! That's so cool!)
Anyway. The the tide is out, it's almost like the tree is standing on tippy toes. It has about 18" of roots that are exposed. It stands up on those roots. I'm not describing it well because it's 11:36pm. But use your imagination.
Not only was it not low tide. The tide was quite high. And there were some really nice waves. Which is also rather unusual.
This will always be a special spot. And there are 3.37 special trees at this pull out on the James River.

Clear winner. This one stand head and shoulders above all the rest in this challenge. Natural tones giving it the dramatic feeling of "how long can it resist the sea?". Perfect shot about framing, POV. This gets my 10 and my Blue dragon Award
