Challenge: Macro Without Bugs or Flowers (Basic Editing I)

This was one of those "last minute" things. I had decided not to enter because of the large number of entries, then my cat came over and made the perfect little pose so I started snapping away, edited and submitted right before midnight. I'm sure it wont place well since it wasnt a thought out image, but none the less I enjoyed creating it.

rotated, cropped, auto levels and color, sharpened, saturated, adjusted brightness and contrast and added a border.

I was just taking a look through your portfolio - and noticed that I have a very similar picture of our cat, Charlie! Too funny!

Cool :) I placed amongst people I gave 9's and 10's, I'm very pleased.

BUT

I only sharpened this a very small amount. In PS I went to Filter - Sharpen, Once. Maybe I shouldn't have sharpened it all, it has so much detail already.

Thanks Everyone!

If I were a mouse... The texture just grabs me, and I don't particularly like cats.

Cool, i like how the fur is sharpened, and the eyes are clear like that

A little oversharpened I think. Nice coloring in the eyes.

Way over sharpenned, and not really close enough to be 'macro', just a simple close portraite

Great macro good color and sharpness. I love the color of the eyes. While impressive from a photographic stand point. Its just not very interesting. Perhaps just a close crop of just the eyes would ahve done the job.

This has a great deal of graphic appeal! I like the effect of sharpening, making it almost posterized. Lovely color in the eyes plays off the otherwise nearly monochomatic composition. (You must have a patient cat to put up with that--or are you scarred?)
