 This was the only flower in in the light. Taken in dense woodland, near a pond. Editing included a bit of highlights and contrast adjustments.

An appealing image that meets the challenge well

This is all about the lighting. The lone flower nicely spotlit by the soft sunlight against the darker natural background works really well, it stands out like the attractive beacon it is. Your composition is also very complimentary to the subject and its position in the natural setting, lovely. Well taken Anton.
