The Storr on the Isle of Skye is the remain of a massive ancient landslide. The 'Old Man' is a large (50 meters high) pinnacle of rock that stands high and can be seen for miles around.
Legend has it that the Old Man of Storr was a giant who had lived in Trotternish. When he died, his finger remained frozen in death, pointing at the sky.
Amazing, a ribbon with 'only' a 6.62 score. Never expected that. Thank you all for your votes and kind comments!

Way to go Kees. Well done mate - that is a superb photo and you sure deserve that ribbon.
Thanks Paul. To be honest, I'm quite surprised to get a ribbon with a 6.6 in a FS. I expected it to end somewhere between 10th and 15th place. I think the scenery in this image is superb, but the light is off IMO. When I walked uphill to get the shot I had beautiful light and sun rays coming through the clouds, but nothing of this when I took the shot. So I wasn't too happy with the shot myself, but apparently I'm too critical ;-)
I've been busy googling my way through this Feb FS, so many beautiful landscapes to appreciate. And yet another! I need to put the Isle of Sky on the bucket list for sure...
