 Super random occurrence here.

On a dreary Saturday morning, I was driving with the kids, mainly scouting spots for future photos. I was driving past this little pond when I noticed the ice was melting, and a shape was appearing in the middle of the pond!

I cursed myself, as I didn't bring the long 150-600mm lens, which could have filled the frame with my subject. So I used the 24-105mm at the longest length, framed my shot, and went about my day.

Sure, it's not the most interesting or beautiful shot ever, but it meets a challenge which I think is exceedingly hard to meet (really, how many heart shapes are in nature, especially in the middle of winter).
