Greetings from the CC, This shot seems to have captured some real emotion, well done, black and white was a good choice, tho would like to have seen a little more subtle lighting, to help avoid the few overexposed areas on his shirt, this shot has a very natural and comfortable feel to it. The compostion and expressions are wonderful. Well done.

I'm not really sure that this would be calendar material. Who would buy it and what theme would it convey? I'd think this kind of image is too personal for someone to hang on their wall for a month!

It's a good shot and naturally posed, though a bit lacking in depth of contrast.

There is so much about this shot that is "just fight." The lighting, the fact that it doesn't look posed, the feeling of intimacy. Well done!

I like the angle of the light and the "realness" of the subjects, by that I mean, the choice of a couple who are not "young lovers" nor a cliche "cute elderly couple." The photographer has captured a feeling of comfort and ease between these two people. The conflicting energy of him looking ahead and her turning back evokes in me the promise of the future and the security of a shared past. It works very well.

You really made me feel the emotion and bond between these two - effective use of black and white 10

Beautifully captured and presented. A bit too personal for an average calendar, but I could see this as a "personalized" one made of your own favorite photos chosen for the pertinent months.

Nice portrait, and especially given the trickiness of the white shirt and black top abd keeping some texture on both. Can't really see it as a claendar shot, myself, but good work.

Oh! Suposed you called it "August''s Sweethearts" what would be the difference. Besides if they are really sweethearts they should be so every month so I know the title should say a month but the picture should aswell.

Good picture.

The first thing I thought of when I saw this was the Diamond commericals running here in the US. Not saying anything good or bad comes of that, it is just the first thing that caught me.

This is a lovely image, and if I have to be honest, is a problem for me. You see, a calendar should be on a wall for a month, but I don't think that this image (being very personal) would survive for more than a minute. Sorry. 5
