Hair.
Sigh...
When you're a girl, you're judged on figure and hair. The girls with the long, luxurious hair... well... it wasn't me.
I was nicely blond (dishwater now, but still blond!), but it just never grew past the shoulders. That and the fact that it was incredibly fine, no body.
So most of my life I had short hair, or hair ending at the shoulders.
You see the girls jogging with a ponytail flopping back and forth? That would be so cool! I think they take up jogging just so they can have that feeling. :)
Once when I was in high school I did an online survey. 92% of guys preferred long hair.
Anyway.
This wasn't supposed to be the photo.
My husband was going to let me torture him.
I had this wig for another photo and perhaps a play I was going to be in. I thought it would be really funny to dress him up in makeup and have him holding the wig in one hand and brushing it with the other. I told him as such. He actually said "ok".?!?!
Long story short, he ended up going to sleep at 5:30 because of jet lag.
Yeah, sure... likely excuse!
So this is what you were stuck with.
The thing on my head is the wig cap that you wear under the wig. It was supposed to be a "getting ready for the ball" type of shot. I didn't work that way.
It ended up simply being an "if only". Shot. Perhaps more people would have understood if it were a bald guy holding a toupee? ;D
The grass is always greener. Or in this case, the hair is always hairier on the other side of the fence.
Thanks for the comments. |
