2 years my little field
has not been mown

every afternoon I try to stuff it into my camera

[Sep. 8th, 2016 10:58:23 PM]

I am humbled that my little field has occasioned such sweet poems, taking me far beyond.

After the fires raged and plundered....

Through seasons' change and time progressing....

Once again the bounty of Mother Nature starts the healing process.

2 years to nurture an intimacy
with a place before a time of memory
can hold my little field for fond recollection

4 years saplings
5 years groundhogs
6 years thicket
7 years I'm in Ohio holding my mother's hand
8 years my heart opens or it breaks

Two years my little field
Since I fled and left you fallow

Your gamish of gilded grassheads
Gaily sways

I'll return in springtime
To shoo the snakes and woodchucks

Impose my patterns upon your patterns
Pair furrows with purpose
And pray

That the churlish crow may spare some seed to grow.
