 Infrared, a four and a half minute exposure. Even though I shot this on a still day, there's still some motion blur in the finer branches due to wind movement higher up.

Absolutely tons of hot pixels and noise on this one due to the long exposure - spent a long time cloning it all out.

Here's everything that was spot edited out:


Editing: channel mixer, contrast adjustment, cloning out hot pixels, curves, flip, despeckle, resize and selective sharpen.

Hello from the critique club

An interesting image that meets the challenge.

I like your viewpoint but I'm not so keen on the infrared but it certainly distinguishes the shot from the normal exposure. A mono presentation would have been my preference, I do like the trees structure together with the leafy branches. Although its a long exposure I feel its let down by the softness throughout, I would expect to see more sharpness in the trunks at least.

Bonus point for shooting up...but I don't know why (and I've tried) I just don't like this type of photo...it's a personal thing...no offense
