Challenge: Double Exposure II (Standard Editing*)
Collection: Portfolio
Camera: Fujifilm X-M1
Lens: Fujifilm XF 35mm f/1.4
Date: Aug 12, 2016
Date Uploaded: Aug 21, 2016

Portrait of our son Daniel combined with the picture of a modern footbridge (which was the place where we did the portrait shooting actually)

Daniel was quite pleased about the result of this double exposure. He said it reminded him of the series "True Detective" - a series he likes a lot. So he had the idea to use a quote as a title: The fading memory of a town seemed perfect for this picture.

Here are the pictures I used für this challenge:

My pp steps were almost exactly like the ones in this video (Thank you to neenee1999 for posting this link in the forum) except I changed the transparency of the bw adjustment layer to 45% instead of 100%:Double Exposure in PP Tutorial

I really enjoyed this technique but I found it hard to find two pictures which would work together. My Fuji camera can make double exposures in camera, I tried that as well and had some really nice pictures of our daughter too. So I produced several versions, maybe I'll show you some of my outtakes after rollover.

Congratulations on the Top Ten finish, Barbara. You son makes a great model. He does look like a detective, analytical. Well done.
