 A mated pair of Ospreys has been hanging around Lake Estes. They do show interest in and ownership of the nesting platform by the power plant. Maybe we'll see a nesting pair there next year. It looks promising. The photo is a male, I think. 07/31/16 7:55am. Canon EOS 5Dmkiii, Canon EF 400mm f/5.6L USM, 1/2500s@f/5.6, ISO 400, lens focal length 400mm.

Great shot! Beautiful sky, sharp image, crisp focus on talons and eyes. Nit-picky - coloring on top of the head makes it blend into the pattern on the underside of wing.
