WOW! I don't look at the member challenges that closely since I can't vote on them. I must've missed this one. I love the lines and colors. It looks like a painting. I really don't understand the low score - especially from members. I thought they were supposed to have better taste and appreciate more artistic photographs. I guess it's those "does not meet challenge" votes dragging you down. Without the comment, it is really hard to guess what the connection is to the challenge.
First thing I would change though is that blue shadow on two sides. It just isn't needed, and looks bad IMO.
I like this close-up sort of crop of the interesting lines and texture, but I'd like to see a version showing more of the rock (at the top). Was this cropped out of a larger shot? Show more of the surrounding and it'll be less abstract - might do better on dpc anyway.
I love it though. Beautiful color. |

Love this. The textures and curving shapes are really effective.
Not so sure about the pale blue drop shadow but a great picture (10) |

I can't quite tell what I'm looking at or how it is related to earthquakes. It's a really cool photo... it's just so foreign to me that I don't know how to interpret this! Is there a faultline here that the water is washing over?
I think the rocky part at the top of the photo is a bit distracting. It's hard to tell what it is and how it's related to the rest of the image. |

I think this is a really beautiful photo but I can't figure out the before and after concept. Don't worry. I'm not marking anything down because I can't figure out the before and after concept. I will vote based on the photo itself. I am however interested in what the before and after concept is. Maybe you can explain after the challenge ends.
Thanks!

What in the world did you do to achieve these wild colors. They are so vivid and alive. In my opinion it's a little dark, just a little, but it is beautiful. |

what a totally beautiful photo. i love the shades of blue in the reflection, the tracks through it and the curve of the beach through your photo. you could even turn this into more of an abstract by cropping out the top altogether. what i don't quite get (probably me being dense) is how this represents before and after, sorry. lastly, i like the white frame around the shot, but am not a particular fan of the drop shadow you used. |
