 Before the colors of sunset engulfed the valley, a very ominous standing lenticular cloud formed about 20 minutes before sunset. It fell apart by sunset, but looked just like an Iowa tornado over Long's Peak for a bit of time. While the color images are appealing, the b&w image is a better cloud photo. RMNP Upper Beaver Meadows sunset. 01/11/16 4:27PM. Canon EOS 5DmkIII, Canon EF24-105mm f/4L IS USM, [1/125s, 1/80s, 1/50s], ISO 100, f/16, lens focal length 47mm. Official sunset at 4:50PM.
