Zonkey and child are staring at my dog Sophie. I cropped her out of the photo and it suddenly became much more interesting.

cropped, calculations to b/w (overlay for zonkey, multiply for everything else). hue/sat to sepia

I like your scene... but... to be attractive to most viewers/voters... there needs to be no cage... no confinement.

That puts the viewer ... uneasy.
