I like this entry a lot. Kinda makes you stop and think for a little. Good job.

Is that a natural formation on the plant??

Too bad it's not properly exposed and questionably cropped. Would have been one of my favorites otherwise.

Sure looks like man made material to me. If there is indeed such a thing as a Yucca plant then you have my weird votes. 9

Cool. I grew up in a part of the country where Yuccas grow wild. As a boy, we would wade through fields of them while hunting or out hiking. We hated them because they were stickery and because they sometimes hid rattlesnakes. You photo is enough to give the lowly Yucca a good name! Great capture. Among my top picks.

This has a real abstract quality that I like. The string could almost be a piece of string instead of part of the leaf. I like that you have to study it to figure out what it is.

This spiral shows well here, but I find myself wondering whether a different composition would have made use of that wonderful leaf texture better. As it stands, I still like it.

Cute, curly, and delicate - good eye, both for the composition and for finding the subject!

Very nice! I like the contrast between the light spiral and the dark leaf in the background. The foreground leaf is well positioned and pulls my attention into the photo. The focus looks a little soft on parts of the spiral, though. I might prefer a slightly larger DOF to capture the entire spiral in sharp focus.

Interesting subject! I think the yucca family is so elegant in its' growth. I did a series of these spirals which I call yucca hang nails. This is lovely!

I love this shot. I'm not sure if I could get something like that in focus or not!!!
