This person asked me for a dollar when I was walking down the streets of Denver yesterday. I stopped and gave him $5 instead and asked to take his photo. He said yes and I asked him his name and he told me "Larry". I introduced myself and took this one shot. I asked if he was from Denver and he said yes, and then he asked me where I was from. I said Denver too. He looked to me like he hadn't been on the streets very long. But long enough I suppose.

I like this as a street portrait, but I don't have context to who he is, why you took a photo of him. At least in the confines of this challenge. As such, I gave you a 6. If this were a portrait challenge, I would have rated it higher.
Larry had always been a smart dresser and a good talker, but now with the young kids coming up he knew he was going to have to be something special when the merger goes through next month.
This is an excellent portrait of Larry with wonderful B&W tones showing off great details and his smiling expression. The busy street fades out in the background with blur and overexposure allowing Larry to really shine and stand out in this photograph. Just a thought, perhaps this could be a stronger street photography shot if more of the city street that he walks in was a tad more visible - not so much that it becomes distracting but just enough to show your audience the environment he lives in to make a statement that this is Larry, a city dweller.
