Just the right amount of shadow and hog.

Lusciously ambiguous. I think there are tasty meats in there and some shoppers but not too sure. The hog, living or dead, is clearly disdainful of it all. 7

I like this gruesome scene. Not your conventional street photography.

The B&W tones and the details are great - I must admit that the title confuses me a bit as to how exactly it relates to the imagery. I see the reflections of people on the glass which makes me think of a day at the market. That is the daily 'ritual' I see here - shopping for food. I can almost hear the chatter and sounds of a very busy open air market where one can buy food from plums, to fish to a pigs head and feet. It is a shame that the reflections are not a little more clearer to show facial expressions on the people for that would have been an added bene.

Strange that amid all the death that adorns the butchers McKinley could not get the smile of his face. He knew he was going to see her later and her knew how the night would end.

I'm trying to dig deeper into the reflections here. This one is growing on me for sure. Bumping from 6 to 7.
