October 27 was the last lunar eclipse until the year 2007. I always find the dog barking at the blood moon a weird phenomena. The photo may not be fantastic with my 3X optical zoom but I had a great time watching the stars and the moon.

The street was silent. No wind. Hallo's Ween was coming and my cold breath fumed the air while I tinkered with the antique stand. The unfamiliar Canon G5 borrowed at the last minute distracted and at times surprised the moonlit night with strange mechanical sounds and unfamiliar colored flicking lights. I turned my head with increase frenzy between the tension of silence and sounds until the breaking point when I suddenly realised that I was completely alone...

with my camera.

This was my second attempt at a night photo and my first with a unfamiliar camera. I followed the instructions from the borrowed canon G5. Tripod, 3 seconds timer, Slow Synchro on, slow shutter speed and flash on. I was getting tree leaves in the forground but opted for the simple moon and space framing for my entry. I agree with previous comments that the moon is still out of focus but using a tripod helps a lot to avoid shakiness.

the composition is off balance for me. I would think it would be difficult to decide how to compose this, but there seems to be no use to the negative space

Slightly burry. I dont think that the length of the photo helps it at all. Giving a 5

not bizarre in any way, and not a terribly great shot of the moon .... you need pretty decent equip to pull this kind of shot off well
