very nice example, you can tell that you kneeled down to get even with your subject...which i think makes your pic, nice comp...perhaps a bit more cropping on top to get rid of the butt :) i feel cold just looking at this

This guy's out here a lot...I can tell by the magazines under his butt. Very good image of poverty.

I like the way this portrait fills the frame. Very emotive too.

The best caption of the challenge. I like the fact that you've kept the homeless man as the center of the image and cropped out the people passing by. Very cool irony from the caption. Nice ..... I voted a (9)

I know what you mean I guess. I think if you lft more of "by passers", not looking at him, laughing or talking to each other - it would've make the message much stronger. And if decided to crop him so much, maybe it would've been better to crop the marbel as well as it doesn't add to the "poverty" feeling. I like the idea, just a little bit more context needed. 7

nice title, shot and quality. I like the rain and down cast eyes. nice shot. maybe a few stains on the jcket would have given another point.

I think you made a great choice in your tight framing/cropping with this. Excellent.

I'll feel realy bad if I'm wrong.. but this shot looks posed.. It really does, it may really be a homeless person on the street, but my first instinct says it is not. Still a fairly well composed shot. And gives the idea of poverty

Uhhh...it really feels cold there...poor guy...realistic shot. Only thing would like more blured background.

I've realized that, for me, a good poverty shot makes me shutter, cringe or want to look away.
You got it all, incredibly sad and very strong representation of the challenge.

The people in the back are a bit of a distraction. Not considering them the shot is teriffic.
