my only entry that enter in top20, 18th place specifically( most entries had low rating). Well, i really tried to find a location for this challenge to make a good shot.. Thanks to everyone. hope i can do more in the next challenge..

A tighter crop down the middle of the river would put more emphasis on the squatters, and thus the subject.

this is excellent. One complaint: the colors look a little washed out from the light, which could be considered as a re-enforcement of the poverty theme, but is bothersome from an aesthetic point of view.

Now THAT truly depicts poverty - perfect photo for this challenge. I would have liked to see it at a different time of day with different light conditions, and perhaps a bit less of the river, more of the dwellings.

Reminds me of the Philippines. People will go to great lengths to have something over their heads. Just a little bright and the sky in the middle (on the water) is just a bit burnt out. 6
