Challenge: Free Study 2015-04 (Advanced Editing VII)
Camera: Nikon D700
Location: Washington DC
Date: Apr 3, 2015
Aperture: 2.8
ISO: 1000
Shutter: 1/100
Date Uploaded: Apr 15, 2015

This was a shoot through technique using a 24-70mm lens 2.8. We were about a week too early to catch the Japanese cherry blossoms on the tidal basin but found a few traditional cherry trees in bloom right off of a sidewalk.

You'll soon be disqualified for your text added to your image, I fear, so let me get my comment in quickly!

I love their pose. I'm not a fan of the flowers' foreground bokeh, but your models probably are... it's unique... but it distracts me... especially across her bust where it at first looks like it was intentionally blurred to hide something.

Add in the one across her tummy, and... It detracts for me. I DO like the ones that are not across their bodies. Very much.

nice 'romantic' picture. I wonder if the cherry blossoms in the front would have been better if more in focus? As it is they are so blurred as to make it seem as though your lens has pink water droplets on. Also, the line of the concrete wall goes straight through the man's head. A little bit to the right or left (but not splitting the couple) might have been better
