 This is an image I created for a model headed to CMTC. It is to be used for her commercial print contest.

I shot an elinchrome through my white background, which I essentially used as a huge scrim. The light coming right at her comes from a custom large metal lightbox fitted with an AlienBee 1600.

Editing is pretty simple, most of it was done right in ACR. I pushed the warmth and enhanced the vintage feel using split toning. Finally, I dodged and burned and Photoshop, nothing else.

Hello from the critique club...

I love this shot... It definitely has that vintage feel. It's right out of the 50's 60's. I don't like that her hand is cut off though. I do think that takes away from the overall shot. Happy shooting.

Really cool shot! The only thing is that I wish her face was a bit sharper and that her whole hand was in the picture.

good vintage? style shot. lighting a little uneven on the model's neck and cheek and a bit of a yellow cast on everything. Still nice though
