A clever way to portray "the beauty within", both the bird within the branches and the red feathers within the bird's wing. The way a good part of the bird itself is hidden also serves the title well. Funny how we often determine beauty, with flash often figuring in so heavily. A photo that creates space for contemplation.
This looks as if you dressed this bird and put him in the tree, lol. Beautiful feathers and that eye with red eyeliner, wow. Curious on the identification. Good job on the eye contact.
This is a more daring aesthetic stance than blurry black and white. Colors taken to such extremes are more difficult to look at. But I think you've succeeded here. The colors are odd and distorted, but they don't clash and they are muted. I find the overall effect very pleasing to look at.
My goodness that is a striking bird! Hope you will say what it is in your notes. It's good (for me at least) to not see the whole thing, because it allows some speculation about the obscured bits. I'm trying to imagine the beak shape. Nope, I got nothin'. No bad thing. Thank you.
A cyclops eye - I do like that. Foliage though is a tricky beast, especially in colour. I struggle enjoying that part of it. Give me this in a square crop with a centred eye and a monochrome presentation and I think I'd be sold. But then, it wouldn't be this image and that wouldn't be fair.
