despite not carrying about the technicals in this challenge the halo and distortion to the face annoy me, i want to be focusing on the tassel lost from a warriors sword in battle or ripped from a lovers outfit in passion yet im looking at the deity's head instead

The title sounds like a movie title and I am sure there is a story to be told here. Nice DOF to emphasize the tassel.

I do like the red tassel, but for me it isn't enough for me to get over my prejudice of photos of statues (or ornaments) - I just like to see something that has more of the photographer than the original artist within it.

Red tassel stands for good luck, does it not? So I wish you good luck. I like the beautiful tones in and around the Buddha; very apt and pleasing. Thank you.
