p.s. thanks setz for the addition of the idea of having myself come in the door :)

it would have been that hard . . . you have no idea what i had to do just to get even that much floor space, lol. you'd have to come over to see. anyway thank you for the comment :)

OK. I'm sure you wanna know what I think so... The door on the floor is just too cool. The room is just way too cluttered and distracting. It wouldnt have been that hard just to straighten up a few square feet. That's also some blinding light coming from the right side off frame. It burned all the white objects in the top part of the shot. I think it's kinda funny that you're dressed so preppy and wearing sandals while sitting on a ladder :P Awesome score though! You did a good job w/ the photoshopping. I do like your floor btw. On my monitor it also looks like there are some diagonal jaggies, but that's probably just me. It is a fun shot. Very creative and well done.

inspired by MC Escher, but having to work with our extremely small cluttered living room, I did this pair of self-portraits and combined them in photoshop. The icing on the cake for realism was photographing the doorknob from the correct angle separately and inserting it so that the door had some 3D qualities to it. I figured, hey we may never have open editing again, so why not go for broke :)

what? i never commented on this pic? whats my problem? :)
i loved this photo for the surrealism--incredibly imaginitive-- i feel like i am looking into one of dali's dreams! the look on your face reaching for the door in the floor is fantastic. this pic should have placed!

I like the digital manipulation on this shot quite a bit. The surrealism here adds nice impact to image. The maniuplation is clean enough to make it look real :) - setzler

I had some great ideas for this challenge using Photoshop, but didn't have time to work on them. I'm happy to see someone took the relaxed rules to the limit! This image is a lot of fun. The image on the floor has lots of appeal... the guy's posture and look on his face work well. The 'surprise' on the main image is good. I feel the area in the background of the main image is a little cluttered. Overall, lots of fun, thanks for using your creativity and giving us something unusual to look at this week! 9

If you could have created some eye contact between the two the illusion would be much more powerfull, good work.

very interesting composition, I like it. I think I would have liked it a little better if the top person had a similar expression.
