I was thinking that a recognizable object (champagne bottle) would give some sense of scale. Which is why I left the label on. Otherwise, without comments by me, it might be too difficult to figure out what it is, exactly.

I'm thinking of setting up a stage with a small camera on a tripod directly overhead so I can reliably get a shot where 100% of the bracelet is in perfect focus & no distractions. Like a documentary catalog shot. I would like a documentary record because I've made more than 100 bracelets & I'm starting to forget details.

Some of the bracelets have a name, I think because it came together so well. I'm wearing one right now named the Time Machine. I would like to create more emotional shots of those where the details are mostly lost but the feeling is expressed. I suspect that knowing I'm going to photograph it later may affect they way I put it together.

All your comments are very valuable to me. Important. Please continue!

Others have commented on the label. I love the bracelet - perfect for February for sure. Shows very nicely here.

Looks great on the bottle. Not sure about the text, it's somewhat distracting.

I think that you're onto something here.
These shots are very nice with the champagne bottle, and darker bg.

PS if you wanted to have some fun with this, stash some dry ice (or equivalent) under the bottle, so that the frosty clouds of white give this a misty and mysterious setting.

I think I like what you're going for here, PixelPig, but after you've had fun with the bottle including label, it might be a good idea to lose the label. Compulsive readers (like me) will always stop to read the label thus interfering with our enjoyment of the jewelry.

Then, (suggestion coming) try the full range of DOF numbers to try for a full sharp range of focus. You really want everything to be as sharp as it can be.

You have a super collection going here. I'm looking forward to seeing more of it.

This is my favourite of the three you posted today. It tells a story for Valentines Day to me. Champagne and hearts!
