Greetings from the Critique Club :)

Your 'square' concept in this image is easily understandable. The lighting is aslo nice and even for the image... I like the soft shadow underneath the plate on the front side.

The image lacks sharpness. As I look at your camera settings, I am a little lost. I think that the ISO 400 setting may have kicked your shutter speed up. I believe that a lower ISO setting would have slowed down the shutter, provided some more color saturation and possibly increased the sharpness of this image a little. I'm not sure what resolution the F601z is, so I'm not sure how to comment on that part...

Compositionally, this photograph is fine. It's nice and symmetrical and well-centered in the frame of view.

Keep up the good efforts :)

Good composition although I think an even higher angle would have been better.
The lighting seems to have a red tint. Maybe the auto white-balance failed or maybe it's the natural colour of the background. If that's the case then I think a white background would have been better.
I know it's nitpicking, but you should have positioned the blade of the knife to the left side. Somehow that's what strikes me first on this image ;-)

your knife is the wrong way around / knife and fork don't look straight / no hot dog / jagged / beans look cold and mum never washes up that well.

your knife is the wrong way around ;-) less compression might help with straighter edges (less jpeg artifacts, e.g. in the fork). the rules allow for a file size three times as big as the one you have here.

pretty cool though!

Composition: Good, but knife and fork don't look 'straight'
Technical: Rescaling prob? Parts look jagged.
Meets challenge: Yes
Overall impression: Nice colour and cropping. 6

I'd give you a higher rating if you include a hot dog! Just kidding. Its fine as is. Albiet a tad to much beige.

Very interesting. Makes me kinda hungry. I like how you did the "square meal" tiltle!

The image is a little noisy. A program such as neatimage could help here. jgillard6

Nice colors. Lacks focus and is a bit too centered. Perhaps if you used more of the 150 kb file size allotted it would be a lot sharper.
