Congratulations on your blue

Like the Angelica in the FG and the lighthouse is real nice.

What lens were you using?

I was thinking about the same, but couldn't find any Northern Lights in my free nights that week. I have some nice one form one week before, and will hopefully find some tonight. They don't seem to have been very strong that night, but the night sky is beautifully starlit.

Til hamingju, mjög flott mynd og verðskuldað. Ég er kannski ekki alveg jafn mikið að missa mig útaf henni og margir aðrir,ég hefði s.s. ekki alveg gefið henni 10 en líklega 8-9 ef ég hefði mátt gefa atkvæði.

Congratilations Amason, I knew this one would do well, really well.
It did not take a long time for the 20D to pay off! :D
The flowers in the forground is what makes this picture uniqe and a winner.
Now don't become a ribbon hog like Heiða, you hear!

Great composition and excellent subject. The highlight's a bit annoying and it looks a tad oversharpened (try converting to Lab colour in PS and sharpening just the Lightness channel which prevents haloing of the colours) which is made more noticeable with a night shot.

I love your forground here - inspired.

Very nice. The northern lights? My only suggestion for improvement would be to leave the shutter open a little shorter time -- the one light is a bit too glaring for me. Otherwise, I really like it! BOL :D

This is a very interesting shot. I find the bright light over the building (lighthouse maybe) a bit distracting, and I might have chosen to edit out the electric poles, but I really like the creative angle. Very nice. I think it will probably place well.

this is so awesome the way the weeds look like trees... it has such a "haunted house" feel to it as well you might get hassled for the green sky but i think this is so intereesting.. one of my favorites so far

Wow... im impressed of this...
Im sorry, i think i like everything about it...:). Stars, green lights... little houses between 'grass'... Feels like magic world of elfs.
The angle of capture is real good idea.
Thanks for sharing and good luck.

very nice northren lights. The forground realy adds intrest to this picture. It's as if you where just an inch under ground. The houses give a point of intrest and the tower is just a bit too burned out at the top but it draws the eyes towards the houses, witch is good. This could be a good postcard for the winter season.

Exiting colours and composition. It seems to me that there is a lighthouse behind the two buildings but I'm not sure. I find the big light a bit too bright and it draws the attention from an otherwise very good photograph. -7

a very lovely magical shot...great colors/composition...the wonderfully shaped silhoutted tree tops really add the extra spice to the shot for me..without those contrasting against the northernlights itwould have made for a bit of a blander photo...great job..one of my faves!

I wouldn't want to deal with the constant cold weather, but I'm definitely jealous of folks that get to see incredible things like this up north! This is a really cool shot -- I love the exposure, and the way you incorporated the weeds in the foreground. I suspect this will do very well this week. It's my only 10 so far.
