Maybe using a different angle, or getting closer to the beetle, and cutting some of the other stuff out, would have helped this picture in terms of subject...
Cutting down the exposure a tad, would make this picture sharper and some of the flare from the lights...
Good idea, but a little thought will go a long way! |

the reflection on the glass is disturbing - nice colors though |

Nothing to grab me here I'm afraid. The shot itself is a little noisy and softly focused, with some blown highlights. Your best bet would be to meter the shot on the brightest areas (or close to the brightest area) and pull some detail back from the shadows in Photoshop. |

Maybe exclude the VW? I just don't find this photo interesting... |

The lens flares hurt this photo, and the fact that your title gives the impression of a subject, but the photograph doesn't support it, (the beetle is hardly your focus in this photograph.), doesn't help it either. Had you gotten closer to the beetle, effectively cutting out the powerful parking lot light in the top right corner, and cut the exposure down a little, it would have been a better shot. Still not great however, as a photograph of a car in a parking lot alone.. isn't going to be the most stunning of subject choices. |

glass reflections not good, I would have gotten a lot closer to the VW and low to the ground. |

I don't find myself very interested in a couple cars in a parking lot. The lens flares are pretty severe too, but depending on your type of camera, there may not be anything you can do about it. One the positve side, the colors are very nice. |

lookslike yougota bit of lens flare from the street lights. To me this picutre isnt that interesting. The color of the sky is very nice and the focus is good. |

Maybe if oyu had isolated the car, it would be more interesting. |

I'm voting this low because it isn't really in focus, isn't very interesting subject matter, isn't a composed shot, and doesn't look like you put much effort into it. Sorry! |

the beetle is a very nice car, but unfortunately doesn't always make a particularly arresting shot... there are a few distractions in the shot drawing attention away from your main subject - the ugly car next it primarily, but also the glare from the street lamp top right corner... there seem to be a lot of artefacts in the picture, and i'd be interested to see what camera you're using. nothing wrong with photoing the car per se, but coming in closer might be good for composition, and maybe from a different angle (try squatting!). colours are all complimentary - all golds and blues. the sky is pretty nice too. 4. |

Well there is a bunch of lens glare and whose car is that next to the beetle, maybe lose that car or get a another beetle. |

Well, it meets the challenge, but I have to admit there's not a whole lot of anything interesting going on here. In all honesty, my reaction was "so what?" I don't mean to be harsh, but it doesn't really evoke any kind of emotion and it leaves me wondering why someone would choose this as a challenge topic... :( |

It is not a blue beetle...its a blue beetle and another car.... the halo rings are very distracting. There are so many ways that this shot could have been done better....I do like the use of thirds. |
