 Up Close and personal. this guy walked out of the brush and we got to see just how large it really was. Pretty impressive and a little unnerving, it had everyone back peddling to give it room. The photo was taken with a full frame camera at 220mm so you can tell we were closer than we should have been! A little fill flash would have been nice but at this distance really did not want to piss him off!

There was a lady with a point and shot camera that had walked right to where this Moose was likely going to head when it came out of the brush, three other Moose had already crossed over in this area so I told her she might want to move because the Moose was probably getting ready to come out onto the roadway and would be heading right where she was standing. So she came back to where we were standing and sure enough it came out just as she got out of the way. She looked at me and said I am not sure how you knew it was coming out but I think you saved my life. I told her we let her stand there for a little while as bait but decided to be nice and tell her. As it was we were all closer than recommended and it definitely eyed us as it went past which was intimidating to say the least.

I liked this one a lot too, good solid wildlife shot. I prefer this to your outtake.

Yikes! I hope you had a really long lens; those guys can be unfriendly to mere humans. Impressive capture!
