This was taken in the Angeles National Forrest, along Angeles Crest Highway. The moon was bright and I used the auto settings with a flash. I was surprised to not see the pole in the picture.

Hi DigitalGravy

Fits The Challenge-No, doubt about it!!

Composition-Very nice, the sign appears to be floating. It's centered and framed with good taste.

Background-N/A

Digital Processing-Must be done well, because I don't see a lot of it. I'm almost always impressed with the Sony DSC-F717.

My Opinion-Angeles National Forrest over the 'grapevine'. That's traffic. It's also very pretty if you like high desert and I do. I've never done it at night. This isn't a very exciting sign, and it's not humors but what this is, is a good photograph. It's clean, crisp and clear with good color, focus and composition while meeting the challenge.
SO not too much to add here really. I did enjoy looking at your photo.

really stark, and okay, this is like the one border this week that makes sense. i don't know about borders in general though, kinda tacky.

Great border that compliments the image well. Nice tight graphic shot. Vibrant colour. Technically good image.

Well composed reversed sillohuette image. The thin yellow border is a good touch for the yellow sign. Very nice.

Humorous title to go with the sun. I like the contrast of yellow and black.

Yellow and black go great together. Good border also.

Can I ask what the "floating sign" means?

I usually complain that coloured borders are distracting, but you have got it exactly right for this photo

Ok, this is one of very few photos where the border really adds to the photo - well done. I'm glad you chose a thin yellow line and didn't over do it. The floating effect is also quite nice - it's a simple elegant photo. Framing is also nicely balanced.
