It was really that weird greenish you get with a nasty storm. This storm had a history of producing baseball+ sized hail and wasn't weakening as it headed south, so I took myself and my car to a nice sturdy concrete municipal garage downtown to wait it out. I also brought my camera along to pass the time and man was I glad I did! I love weather and was so thrilled to have caught this. This was a decisive moment shot...no high speed shooting. I held the camera to my eye and waited for a flash, then hit the shutter...quickly.

I am always a huge fan of well-executed lightning photos. I love the dramatic colors! Wonder if this is one of Colleen's fine art pieces. If not... that's a compliment! I love it!
