 Shot through my Celestron Nexstar 5se on July 12th 2014. It was almost too large to fit in the frame. 5 inch aperture per telescope specs. Mirror locked up and timer set to reduce vibration. But I figured I would throw this in since no one has gone back to the Moon in 41 years and counting. Some sharpening and contrast adjustment made. Cropped out the rest of the sky leaving only a minimal black area.

A moon shot has to be crisp. Lots of CA here and not a lot of crisp lines.

If you saw this image (outside of the challenge) and were asked to give ten words... no... twenty words to describe it, would "abandoned" be one of them?
