 OK, OK, I konw it's quite close to my Blueberry Splash (for the Blue Challenge), but how could i resist? It's sooooooo much fun. Actually, my other candidates really looked like Blueberry Splash (I was considering calling it "Oreo Splash, a Spoof". I'll post them after the challenge is over.

Technical info: Used Mini Oreos and 18% cream. Fill pie pan with approx. 1 inch of cream (note: you won't get the same splash from a glass full of milk/cream because the object would disapear before the splash took place - basic physics and timing); throw oreo in the cream; take the picture. 500 Watt spot light, which let me shoot at 1/1000 of a second. Zoom 2.1x, handheld and manually focused. Warning: very messy and stinky (the cream gets cooked by the lamp) :)

Orininally wanted a cookie dunked in a glass of milk, but capturing the splash was too difficult.

FIRST IMPRESSION: Yum! This makes me hungry for milk and cookies just looking at it. It's clear that you've put a lot of effort into getting this just right, and that effort pays off.

CHALLENGE: This image unquestionably meets the challenge.

COMPOSITION: The composition here is very good, I like that you can see the cookie, but I would think the cookie should be down in the milk a slightly more for maximum effect.

TECHNICAL: The light is quite hard here, I wonder if a diffuser might have helped. All other technical aspects are excellent.

CONCLUSION: One of the best shots in this challenge. Nicely done!

this is a great catch of stopped motion.. however, it looks like it took many tries..which I can appreciate, but the cookie crumbs from the first attempts are still in the milk :( I'd like a cleaner image.

challenge met, good catch. i guess this wasn't your first try because there are already quite a few crumbs in the milk. a little bit distracting, but it's not like you are going to filter or replace the mild for each shot. pretty amazing that you got the oreo just the right way up and the splashes are pretty cool, too. good frame to go with the picture. :)

It doesn't appear that this is your first spash as there seems to be Oreo floating throughout the milk. Great job of getting the Oreo right side up!

Great Shot! Amazing how you got the word "OREO" to be perfectly horizontal like that. I bet it took lots of time. Great splash!

Nice capture - I was going to do an entry like this too! Well taken, though I might have preferred it without the crumbs in the lower right corner. Like that the cookie logo is really clear and highlighted by the milk!

Shame about the speckles on the milk. Presumably this is because you had to drop the biscuit into the milk several times to get the shot.

Beautiful! I expected a lot more similar to this in this challenge. I love how you came out with the "oreo" covered perfectly in the milk and everything in focus as it should be. Good shot!
