One of my favorites in this challenge. The DOF is too shallow for my taste, but I'll be surprised if this doesn't make the top 10 anyway. 8

Love the idea, depth of field, and of course, the sparks

I'm sure everyone else will love it, but the "sparks" don't really add much here. This is a really interesting object, I think your crop is great, and you have perfect light. For me, this lighting/crop, a plain background, and a slightly deeper DOF, and this would have been tops.

Intense, dramatic and extreme; as you have mentioned. Finding an old telegraph machine must have been difficult. The electric spark really makes this picture. Hope no one got hurt ;-)

I like you composition and idea, imaginative and fits the challenge well. The sparks are captured very nicely. My only wish would be that the area of the arm that the sparks are coming from be a little sharper in focus. nice job.

Very cool idea! Love how the sparks fly. I still think however you could have done better with this idea, I have no idea on how they achieve this but I have seen several shots of sparks (from industrial shoots) that have the sparks more red/yellow so my guess is that the white balance could have been manipulated to achieve that effect. Also the brown backround doesn´t help. Anyway, great shot, wish I would have thought of it. 9 in my books.

It is an original concept. You focused on the sparks in the center of the image. If you didn't put "Morse" in the title, it would've been difficult to guess what it has to do with communication. Maybe different angle, more focus on the whole object would¹ve make the message clear. I like the idea of Morse alphabet. 7.

capturing the sparks was a nice touch. i think if the background and table top were different it would have scored higher, something colorful to go with this 'electric shot'.

I can't remember if sparks fly when morse is taped but a good photo, slightly out of focus though.

Now that's cool. I really like this idea and execution but I do think that it needs more balance with lighting. Nice job - best of luck.
