 I had all sorts of ideas for this exciting challenge, but no opportunities to shoot the components. So this is it - a collection of dead critters.

Open PSCS3
Duplicate layer
Flip horizontal
Blend mode difference (which gave gaudy colours)
Flatten
Topaz Black and white effects from the cyanotype range > steel blue dynamic
Duplicate layer
Topaz Detail
Flatten
Copied and pasted top spider, bottom dragonfly wings and butterfly wings just above from 3 separate photos, all processed the same way as the main image.

I love how these butterflies/moths have been transformed into an intricate and mysterious mask. Like something out of Cirque du Soleil. The nighttime coloration adds to the mood of fantasy and ritual. Strong image.
