An image of trees reflected in water isn't novel, but the beautiful treatment of it here lifts it into art. It's the luminescence of the scene that first absorbs the viewer. It's both ghostly and serene. The black and white treatment brings out the overall softness of this photo, makes the trees uniform in appearance and lends a fur-like texture to the brush. Lastly, there's the pleasure of peering into both the forest and its reflection as the trees recede into the darkness. A co-favorite.
