Had to take a bit of a break from here. Was getting far too stressed about images and submitting, and second guessing my opinions about images and not submitting ones that I like because of expected score. Needed to regroup. Also, all of that was compounded by finishing my PhD (you may now call me Dr Niall) which was the main issue, really. DPChallenge stress didn't help though! :-)
Happy to be back! Looking forward to shooting and submitting here again. This is an image from the Cabot Circuits shopping centre in Bristol.
I also got rid of my camera, to force me to get a better one, and I haven't bought a new one yet... Shooting with my phone for a while.

It's good to see you back, Doctor. Nice phone shot, but you will have trouble taking a fly images with that phone. Congratulations on the PhD. I know what you mean about getting too wrapped up in DPC. Enter what you like -- to Heck with the score. I'll look forward to seeing it.
p.s. Get a camera.
p.p.s. I recently got a Fuji X100s and I like it a lot. You may be looking for something with more heft, though.
I love the upper and lower parts of this image. The middle glass highlights being blown upsets the serenity of the image to me... I'd have been tempted to give up the upper windows to crop out the blown part. But.. .I'm not sure. Try it and see.
